Facilitation Consulting
This term often suggests formal meetings and planning
sessions. In fact, facilitation frequently happens moment-to-moment in any
setting as people work together to achieve results. The skill includes drawing
out ideas, opening thinking to discover options, asking questions that turn on
the lights, creating a safe space for voicing opinions and supporting movement
to higher level thinking as a way to see issues systemically and holistically.
It may involve two people or many.
Whatever the challenge - change, reorganizing, performance,
processes, troubled relationships - we provide facilitation for executives and
for other stakeholder groups to develop ideas, recommendations, and action
plans. The approach always invites forward-focused thinking and solutions.
We introduce and model tools, concepts and practices that support effective
behaviors and relationships going forward.
A typical engagement might include:
-
one-on-one interviews with key people including customers
-
small group meetings to invite participation in surveys
-
employee to employee interviews, which greatly increases engagement
-
an online organization assessment tool, VCEO, which provides graphic displays
for use in discussion, strategic planning and baseline measurements of such
areas as employee satisfaction, customer service, use of resources,
communications, and departmental effectiveness.
