Recent and Ongoing Engagements
Organizational change engagement to increase strategic capacity to meet work
load requirements. Approach included everyone in the organization across
regional offices to define changes necessary to achieve goals. Results included
employee-guided project teams to improve planning and execution of work load,
expand the availability of professional growth opportunities and develop
enhanced training and development programs to increase employee competence in
critical areas and an expanded informal network across eight regional offices
that facilitated the spread of program specific knowledge and best work
practices.
New team facilitation included an online communication survey which provides
individual and team reports; introducing team members using a 1-1 interview
which leads to understanding each other’s needs and expectations; shaping
common values, characteristics and practices for working closely together;
describing the vision for how the team wants to be together and determining
what actions, decisions and commitments will support achieving the vision; and
a method for checking in from time to time to valuate how the team is doing in
reaching their vision, commitments and results. Results: Development of shared
expectations regarding work styles and strengths; each person’s role on the
team (deadline monitor, client lead, process checker, proofreader); and,
perhaps most significantly, commitments from each person for successful team
practices and results.
